My career at the Jones Family of Dealerships started in 2002 when I was hired as a technician in the GM service department. I had just graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology with an associate’s degree in automotive technology and was excited to get my hands dirty. I spent the next nine years soaking up as much knowledge as I could and taking as many training classes as I could sign-up for. I had the privilege of working in GM service until 2011 when I was offered a chance to work in our Acura service department. Seeing a chance to expand my automotive knowledge, I spent the next year getting familiar with Honda’s vehicles and procedures. This experience proved invaluable when in January of 2012 I was offered the position of Honda Assistant Service Manager. My days are currently a mixture of all aspects of the automotive service industry, from helping the other technicians with challenging repairs, working in the service drive assisting the service advisors or interacting with vehicle owners to provide the best service visit possible. In addition to my degree from Stevens, I have multiple training certifications from General Motors, Suzuki and Honda. I am also ASE certified and completed an apprenticeship program though the Pennsylvania Automotive Association, which resulted in me being recognized as a journeyman automotive maintenance specialist.
